Build Real Financial Confidence Through Practical Learning
Most people struggle with money because they've never had proper financial education. School teaches algebra, but not how to actually manage your income or plan for the future.
Our program takes a different approach. Over six months, you'll work through real scenarios, build practical skills, and develop habits that actually stick. No vague theory or outdated textbooks.
We've been running these workshops since early 2024, and participants consistently tell us the same thing: they wish they'd learned this stuff years ago.
What You'll Actually Learn
Six modules that cover the essentials. Each one builds on the previous, so by the end you've got a complete financial foundation.
Understanding Your Money Flow
Before you can plan anything, you need to know where your money actually goes. Sounds simple, but most people are surprised when they track it properly.
- Tracking income and expenses realistically
- Identifying spending patterns you didn't notice
- Setting up systems that work with your life
- Building a baseline budget you can adjust
Managing Debt Without Panic
Debt isn't inherently bad, but managing it poorly creates stress. We cover strategies that reduce interest payments and help you regain control.
- Understanding interest rates and how they compound
- Prioritizing which debts to tackle first
- Negotiating better terms when possible
- Avoiding common traps that keep people stuck
Building Emergency Reserves
Life throws curveballs. Car repairs, medical expenses, job changes. Having a buffer means these become inconveniences instead of crises.
- Determining how much you actually need
- Where to keep emergency funds accessible
- Building reserves gradually without sacrifice
- When to use reserves versus alternatives
Practical Investment Fundamentals
Investing seems complicated because the industry benefits from that perception. We break down the basics in plain language.
- Different investment types and their purposes
- Risk tolerance and what it means for you
- Starting small with manageable amounts
- Understanding fees and their impact over time
Planning for Long-Term Goals
Retirement, property, education funds. These need different approaches than short-term saving, and starting earlier makes a huge difference.
- Setting realistic timelines for major goals
- Tax-advantaged accounts available in South Africa
- Balancing multiple priorities without overwhelm
- Adjusting plans as life circumstances change
Protection and Risk Management
Insurance and estate planning aren't exciting topics, but they prevent disasters. We cover what you need without overselling unnecessary products.
- Essential insurance types and coverage levels
- Understanding policy terms and exclusions
- Basic estate planning considerations
- Regular review and adjustment schedules
How the Program Works
We run cohorts twice a year, with the next intake starting July 2026. Each module runs for three weeks, giving you time to implement what you've learned before moving forward.
Classes meet twice weekly in the evenings at our Klerksdorp location, and there's an online option for those who can't attend in person. Both formats cover identical material.
Application Review
Submit your application by June 15, 2026. We review applications on a rolling basis and confirm acceptance within a week.
Orientation Session
July 7, 2026. Meet your cohort, get your materials, and complete the initial financial assessment that guides your learning path.
Core Program
July 14 through December 19, 2026. Six modules with practical assignments, peer discussions, and individual check-ins with facilitators.
Final Planning Workshop
December 2026. Create your comprehensive financial plan incorporating everything you've learned. Optional quarterly alumni sessions continue into 2027.
